Apex Consulting Group is seeking a Senior IT Strategy Consultant to lead a cloud migration engagement for a Fortune 500 financial services client. This is a high-visibility role where you'll work directly with the client's CTO, CIO, and senior business leaders to shape technology decisions that will affect thousands of employees and millions of customers.

You'll own the engagement from current-state assessment through roadmap delivery, with full autonomy over methodology and approach. This is not a back-office role. You'll be in the room, in front of the client, driving the conversation.

What you'll be doing in the first 90 days:

• Conduct a comprehensive current-state assessment of the client's IT infrastructure, identifying gaps, risks, and modernization opportunities
• Define the target-state architecture in collaboration with the client's internal technical teams
• Develop a phased cloud migration roadmap with clear business cases for each workstream
• Present findings and recommendations to the client's executive leadership team

What success looks like at 6 months:

• Approved roadmap with committed executive sponsorship and funding
• First two workstreams in active execution
• Strong working relationship with client CTO. They're asking for you by name on the next engagement

Required:

• 8+ years of experience in IT strategy, enterprise architecture, or technology consulting
• Demonstrated experience leading cloud migration or digital transformation engagements for large organizations ($500M+ revenue)
• Strong executive communication skills. You've presented to C-suite and board-level audiences before
• Deep familiarity with AWS, Azure, or GCP, at least one at an architectural level
• Experience in financial services, insurance, or similarly regulated industries

Strongly preferred:

• TOGAF, AWS Solutions Architect, or comparable certification
• Prior big-4 or tier-1 consulting firm experience
• Military background in IT, signals, or systems, Navy C School, Army MOS, USAF AFSC all fully accepted as equivalent to a bachelor's degree

We are not requiring a four-year degree for this role. What you've done matters more than where you went to school.
